Well my brother and I just finished this one and loved it from start to end. However; I will be the first to state, if you are looking for stand out filming or Oscar worthy performances then this is not the movie for you., but if you are looking for a good time then got rent this film right now!
Machete is a throw back to the good ole days of Grind House productions and bad B movies. Filled with gore filled action and sexy costars, director Robert Rodriguez delivers the perfect one two punch straight to the gut for true movie fans. You recognize the films male lead, Danny Trejo, because he has been in countless films himself and his hard hitting attitude is working overtime as Machete. Filled with classic one liners and steamy situations Rodriguez not only provides a classic film but also uses his medium of creativity to have a little political satire in the same form as Dr. Strangelove.
Through and through this film is stand out, but not for the weak hearted or shallow minded. Machete is a cult classic in the making, let's just hope for the sequels of Machete kills! and Machete kills again!!
